I have worked for Dr. Andrew Cobb for 35 years now. I worked part time for his wonderful father-Dr. Everett Cobb-then came to the practice full time when Dr. Andrew graduated. Working here has given me a wide knowledge of all aspects of dentistry.
Besides being the practice manager, I work with patients to schedule complex treatment, assisting them to make appointments with the specialists we refer them to. I also help with financial arrangements.
Having worked in the dental field as an assistant, lab tech, and front office manager for over 47 years I feel honored to have spent so many years in this wonderful practice. We have the best team and wonderful patients and that makes coming to work so much easier.
When you come to our office the first person you meet is Pat, my sister, and we enjoy getting to spend so much time together. My training was technical school, then passing the dental assistant boards. The best training I could ever have is the experience I’ve gotten for the past 35 years.
Pat has been with Dr. Cobb for over 20 years. A valuable member of the practice, Pat has worked in various capacities; at the front desk greeting patients and caring for patients’ treatment scheduling, financial matters and telephone queries.
You may be surprised the first time you see Pat and Nancy together. Yes, they’re sisters, but no, they’re not twins!
Dental hygiene has been my lifelong passion and career. I graduated from the University of Bridgeport Fone’s School of Dental Hygiene, the first dental hygiene school in the country. My career spans several dental specialties including general dentistry, cosmetic and restorative dentistry and periodontics. I have spent many years in each of these specialties. Like Dr. Cobb, I believe in the importance of continuing education to enhance and expand knowledge of the most current technologies.
I have been involved in volunteer dental missions at Mission of Mercy, a dental mission in Maryland, and Somos Amigos, a medical/dental mission in the Dominican Republic. I volunteer a week of my time and a weekend of my time to serve underprivileged individuals and give them free dental care.
I am very particular about who I work for because I want to feel good at the end of my day knowing my patients are well taken care of. That is why I have been with Dr. Cobb for over 22 years. He is very professional, kind and concerned about each of his patients and gives his best to everyone. There’s longevity with his staff and with our patients. I think that says it all!
